Corporate Video: Cumming Corp USA A brand film for a leading project management and cost consulting firm

Cumming came to us with a problem: how do we attract more of the kind of high-profile project management clients we love? We wrote and created this short brand film/corporate video that showcased their philosophy, team, and projects.

Challenge

The client is an industry leader, but realized that they needed industry-leading marketing materials, including a great hero video for their project management division. The brief was "tell our story and show what we do". This was a relatively lower-budget project, given the storytelling and quality needs of the project.

Solution

We met with the client repeatedly, in person and in virtual meetings. We learned all we could, not only about Cumming Corporation but also about its industry and its audience's expectation. We found that the overall level of video marketing in the industry was terrible, with poor storytelling and bad execution. But we also found that Cumming's audience was very sophisticated and often spent substantial sums of money on their own marketing videos. It became clear that Cumming needed a video that could meet those very high expectations.

We knew we'd need a strong opening to grab their audience's attention and that we'd need to include a presented for some of the storytelling, which we augmented with an interview with one of Cumming's leading executives in the project management division. We approached this project as if it were a film, not just a video. We shot with a real crew, using a professional actor. We scouted locations and chose spaces that we could get access to (mainly Cumming client locations), and we create a show-stopping 3D visual effects opening to the video to put a stake in the ground to its audience that Cumming was all about quality- but on a budget.

Results

The marketing team was very happy with the work, and the corporate video has been used to help the company land new clients. It continues to be featured as a flagship part of Cumming's video marketing.
